We are not an investment advisor
QuantSquawk is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner, and is not registered with the SEC, FINRA, or any other regulatory body. We do not know your financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance, and nothing we publish is tailored to you. Always do your own research and consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
What the scores are — and are not
Every score, rating, and signal on QuantSquawk is the probabilistic output of a machine learning model reading a news headline. Scores are market-impact estimates and directional sentiment signals. They are not positioning recommendations, trade signals, or actionable trade instructions, and they are produced without human review.
- Models can be wrong, and on novel or ambiguous events they often are.
- Scores estimate direction and magnitude of potential market reaction — they say nothing about entry, exit, sizing, or risk for any individual.
- Past correlation between scores and price moves does not predict future results.
About our accuracy tracking
We track scored headlines against subsequent price moves and publish the record, including misses. That hit rate measures directional correlation only — it is not a track record of trading performance, and it does not account for spreads, slippage, commissions, or execution timing. A high hit rate does not imply that trading on the scores would have been profitable.
Data sources
We monitor the fastest public Tier-1 web feeds — Reuters, CNBC, MarketWatch, Benzinga, Yahoo Finance — plus direct Federal Reserve releases. We do not carry licensed institutional wire feeds (e.g. Bloomberg or Dow Jones newswires). Headlines, timestamps, and prices come from public sources that can be delayed, revised, or wrong; we pass through what we receive.
No guarantees
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, latency, completeness, or accuracy of any feed, score, or analysis. Trading involves substantial risk of loss, including the loss of all capital. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions.
